Tusker FC tactician Robert Matano has blamed his players following Saturday's painful 2-0 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz and has now claimed that the club will have to bring in new players in June.
Goals from Estone Esiye and Allan Wanga condemned the Brewers to a third consecutive loss at Ruaraka grounds on Saturday, compounding Matano's troubles.
In a post-match interview, Matano, who is the former AFC Leopards head coach lambasted his players while hinting at departures in June.
“We did not give our best in today's match. We need players who can carry the team and not players who the team carries. We need boys who can bring a good performance to the club, we honestly played a poor game and something needs to be done," said Matano.
He also gave a stern warning to the 'lazy officials' in different departments that they will be forced to quit the club if they don't deliver as they are expected to.
"We need a keeper who can rescue the team, midfielders who can command and take charge of the game. We need strikers who are clinical and can score goals when they are supposed to or even in some unexpected situations. Things have to change as to ensure better results, we cannot continue this way," he said.
Tusker finish the first leg in position 13 with 19 points in the KPL standings.
