After DSTV decided to terminate their Super Cup sponsorship, Gor Mahia and Tusker FC will share only the gate collection monies from their Sunday match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Through an official communiqué, KPL revealed there will be no monetary reward for both the winner and runners up.
“There will be no prize money but winners will be recognised with a trophy and winners’ medals. The losing team will also get medals,” read part of the message from KPL.
According to Futaa, the winner will receive 60% of the gate collection with the runners up walking home with 40%.
“Yes there is no sponsorship but we have decided to honour the match after agreeing to share the gate collection. It's unfortunate the sponsor pulled out but we have to do with what we have,” said a Tusker FC official.
The match will start at 1500 hrs.
