Kenya Breweries Limited has launched a new campaign on their flagship brand Tusker entitled ‘Here’s to the US in every Tusker’
This campaign taps into the spirit of Kenyan togetherness, in particular, the extraordinary things that happen when ordinary Kenyans come together.
“Tusker is a national icon brand and has been brewed in Nairobi for almost a century and is still loved by millions of Kenyans from all backgrounds across the nation. As the custodians of this brand, our duty is to ensure Tusker remains vibrant and relevant to the successive generation of drinkers and that it continues to be an important driver of footfall and sales,” noted KBL Managing Director Jane Karuku during the campaign launch.
In developing this campaign, Tusker partnered with a music producer; Kaki Gondi, the founder of Flag 42; a music studio with a mission to celebrate the unique sounds of all the communities of Kenya.
Kaki travelled to all 47 counties and sampled everything from instruments, vocals and the everyday sounds of ordinary people to create a unique beat that was true to the energetic and creative spirit of Kenyans.
In addition, the brand also partnered with Wangechi, an incredibly talented Kenyan rapper who connects to the dreams and aspirations of millennials. The theme song “here’s to us” connects all Kenyans in a way that has never been attempted before.
“We partnered with Kaki, to embark on a journey to collect the sounds of Kenya and then bring them together into one powerful anthem” commented Tusker Brand’s Marketing Manager, Arianne Okong’o.
The new campaign will be supported by the media across TV, Print, Radio, and Digital/Online.
Tusker’s “Here’s to the US in every Tusker” campaign will be unveiled to consumers on Friday December 2, 2016, from 6pm at Mojos Bar and Lounge along Banda Street in Nairobi’s City Centre.
Thereafter, Tusker will embark on a nationwide tour, aimed at engaging consumers across the country.
