Kenya Premier League side Tusker Fc have recalled on-loan defender Vincent Omumbo from Western Stima as the team readies itself for the 2018 season. The former Harambee Stars under-20 captain was sent to Stima following reduced action for the Brewers as the then coach George Nsimbe resorted to fielding a more experienced side. However, speaking to a local sports website on Monday, club chairman Daniel Aduda intimated that the backliner has since been recalled to aid in the 2018 campaign.Aduda added that the relegation of Stima into the National Super League (NSL) had also played a crucial part in recalling the defender"He's returning to the club now that Stima is relegated. My team manager has been in contact with him and I can confirm that Omumbo will be with us in 2018", he told Futaa.com.
The Brewers endured a torrid 2017 season where they finished sixth with 50 points after 34 outings.
They also surrendered their league title to Gor Mahia and were also lost out on their quest to retain the GOtv shield as they were bundled out in the quarter finals.
The poor form also saw the Kinoru-based side suspended the Ugandan tactician (Nsimbe) although his was as a result of snide remarks he had made about his players.
