2016 Kenya Premier League side Tusker FC continued with their rebuilding strategy after bringing on board Nakumatt FC captain Peter Nzuki on Monday.
Nzuki who was instrumental for the Shoppers in the recently concluded 2017 campaign signed a three- year deal with the Brewers and is expected to feature for the club until 2020.
"He impressed the coaches in training and has signed a contract.Nzuki is a a quality player and he will be a key player for us in 2018 cinsidering we released almost all our midfielders,he's a good signing," a source intimated to local sports website Futaa.com on Monday.
The alumnus of soccer powerhouse St Anthony's High School is expected to be the lynchpin for a Tusker side which struggled last season and relinquished both the league title and the GOtv shield.
The poor campaign also saw the club dismiss their head coach Ugandan George 'Best' Nsimbe who has since been replaced by his compatriot Sam Timbe.
Other than Nzuki,Tusker has also signed Mathew Odongo,Erick Ambunya,Apolo Otieno,Paul Muchika,Robert Achema, Kevin Okoth and Timothy Otieno.
A majority of the the new players are expected to assume obvious call ups after the Brewers released quite a number of their players who featured in the 2017 campaign.
