Tuskys Supermarkets has shut down its Beba Beba branch in Nairobi.

The branch has been in operation for the last 11 years.

The chain announced on Tuesday that property owner Bank of Baroda had sold it.

"The new owner has notified us of intent to re-develop the property," it said in a statement.

"We have put measures in place to accommodate customers to nearby branches and all the 104 employees of the closed branch will be absorbed in other branches."
