Tuskys supermarket will continue sponsoring Wareng Cross Country for many years to come.

CEO Daniel Githua said their aim is to discover and nurture young talents for them to improve their livelihoods.

"The main aim of the event is to have fun and support undiscovered talents. We assure our fans that the event is there to stay," he said during the 13th Tuskys Wareng Cross Country, Sunday.

"This year's winners will go home with a whooping sh 200,000  but next year the winners will get a brand new car," he added. 

The event attracted 3,000 participants not only from Uasin Gishu County but Nandi, Elgeiyo Marakwet among others.

"We want the number of participants next year to increase to  6,000 next, we want to nurture more talents," noted Githua.

In 10 km senior men race Emmanuel  Bett was position one followed by Alfred Barkach and Josephat Kipchirchir.

 Lilian Kasait was crowned the winner in the 10 km women followed closely by Valarie Jemeli and Stacy Ndiwa respectively.

8km men's race was won by Robert Kiprop while 6km women's race was won by Ednah Jebitok.
