Tusker Mattresses Limited has raised the red flag over fraudsters on social media asking people to apply for various positions at the company and soliciting funds from unsuspecting members of the public.
In a communication on Sunday, the company dismissed the advertisements as a scam, saying it is currently not hiring people to fill the said positions.
It also said the social media accounts posting such information are fake and ill-intentioned.
“Our attention has been drawn to a social media scam circulating under fake Tuskys Social Media accounts asking people to apply for various positions and even soliciting for funds from the suspecting public.”
“This is a scam and we are currently not hiring the said positions,” the company said.
The group said it has clear employment procedures and policies with official email addresses and cannot request members of the pubic to send applications to unofficial email accounts.
Tuskys further urged the public to be on the lookout and not to fall prey to such scams.
