Two sisters are nursing injuries after they attacked each other at Makao estate in Nakuru County, in a love triangle gone sour. An eye witness, Milka Nyambura, said the two twin sisters aged 21 fought each fiercely as their mother looked on helpless after one of them retrieved love messages from the other’s mobile phone. According to the eye witness one of the sisters had earlier retrieved a phone number belonging to the man in contention from her sister’s phone and has been having a secret love affair with the man who originally was her sister’s lover. The eye witness added that trouble started after one of them came home in the morning from a night long outing and went to bed leaving her phone exposed to her sister who has been suspecting her of having a love affair with her boyfriend. “She browsed through the phone and discovered her boyfriend’s number. She also found messages the two had been exchanging. She then woke up her sister to question her about what she had discovered but her sister was rude claiming that the man had told her that they had separated,” a neighbour said. Another eye witness said the twin sisters caused mayhem at the residential quarters as they fought each other using crude weapons including shoes, furniture and utensils as their sick mother watched after desperately trying to separate them. The eye witness added that the teen sisters injured each other before a group of neighbours intervened to separate them and requested one of them to vacate the house. “The situation was getting worse when we intervened and took away one of them. Their mother has been sick for some time and she could not help the situation. However she promised to counsel her daughters once their tempers cool down,’’ said Mukami another neighbour.
