Social media users could not hold their horses after former Registrar of Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei, walked out of a TV interview, aired on NTV, Thursday night.

Her interviewer, NTV's Jane Ngoiri had tweeted that Shollei walked out of her interview, when questioned on integrity issues, following civil societies recommendation, that she be barred from vying.

Shollei who had answered earlier interview questions well before walking out, wants to be elected Uasin Gishu Women Representative.Shollei alongside seven others are facing charges of abuse of office in connection with more than Sh150 million allegedly set side for construction of the prefabricated court buildings in Mavoko, Garsen and Tawa, without the tender committee's approval.

Others include former deputy registrar Kakai Kissinger, Martin Okwata, Benedict Omollo, Nicholas Okemwa, Nicholas Mbeba, Thomas Atak and Wyclife Obunde, being employees of the judiciary.

It is said they mutually failed to act in accordance with the law concerning procurement, by unilaterally increasing the advance down payment for erection of court buildings, down from 10 per cent to up to 50 per cent.
