Two middle-aged men were arraigned in a Nakuru court to answer to charges of robbery with violence committed this month.

Peter Kariuki and James Muthee were acused of committing the offence on October 6 2016 in Zanzibar, Nakuru town armed with panga, club and knives where they robbed off James Mutugi a mobile phone and other personal belongings. 

The two also faced the second count of robbing off James Mutugi second hand clothes worth 27,000 shillings and 16,000 shillings.

Moreover, they faced another charge of being in possession of stolen property.

Before Chief Magistrate Bernard Mararo, the two denied the charges and were released on a cash bail of 500,000 shillings.

The case will be heard in Janury 13 2017.
