The police in Kisii on Monday with the help of the area Public health officers have managed to arrest two key suspects who have been linked to releasing of raw sewage to River Riana. Confirming the incident Kisii County Public Health Officer Melitus Kabari said that they have been working day and night to ensure that they arrest more suspects after they discovered that most of the springs from Kisii town to Suneka were polluted."With the help of the locals we have been able to arrest two main suspects who have been linked to release of raw sewage to the rivers in the area that still remain the key source of water in many homes in the area," said Kabari Kabari added that they are still looking for more suspects who have been linked to the poor disposal of sewage to the rivers and blamed private investors of the building near riverbanks without getting due certifications from relevant authorities.Kabari said the two are currently being held at Kisii central police station waiting to be arraigned in court on Tuesday morning.
