Two people are being held at Nakuru Central police station over theft.
The suspects identified as Bridget Karanja and Geoffrey Morumbwa, both workers at City Walk Limited were arrested on Sunday for allegedly stealing items worth Sh200,000.
The two are said to have stolen the items between May 1st and December 10, 2017 from a shop where they have been operating as salespersons.
The company director Ali Sherriff said the two should be held accountable to pay the lost items and damages incurred.
“They have been my employees for the last 4 years now. I suspected them because I found a pair of shoes in the store which the company does not deal with. After stocking taking, it was discovered that items worth Sh200,000 were missing from the store,” said Sherriff.
He said he will pursue the case until he gets justice.
“I pay them good salaries and bonuses. I don’t understand why they decided to steal from me. Their arrest will serve as an example to the rest of the staff members," he added.
A police officer who requested for anonymity said the suspects will be taken to court once investigation is complete.
