Two men have been arrested at Rironi Shopping Centre in Limuru over the murder of a renowned businessman in the area.
Speaking from his office today, area Police boss Mohammed Bakuli said that Mungai Njehu was attacked by an armed gang on Saturday night and was stabbed severally and left for dead.
“We have been conducting investigations since the incidence took place. We were following credible leads that enabled us arrest the two. We can't reveal their identity now because investigations are still on,” said Bakuli.
Bakuli added that they are still collecting more information from Njehu's business to find out whether anything was stolen from the shop during the attack.
Residents have now asked the police to intensify patrols in the area.
“Police must improve their patrols in order to deter thugs from such activities. We are ready to cooperate with them through community policing and Nyumba Kumi to enhance security in the area,” said, George Gichini a business man.
Paul Mwaniki, also a businessman said that although such cases have gone down, Police should not relax.
