Police officers at the Coast are holding two persons who were found with Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations materials.Shakila Omar and Mwalimu Limo Washe are being grilled by detectives after they were arrested with the materials on diverse dates in Malindi and Bamburi respectively.Confirming the incident, Coast regional police commander Larry Kieng' said the police are investigating the matter to determine whether the suspects circulated the materials to other students. The two are said to have had a long conversion on WhatsApp over the examinations before they were arrested."It was a WhatsApp communication but we eventually managed to get the materials. We are following the matter closely to know whether they forwarded the materials to other people, candidates in particular," said Kieng'."They can't run away from the law," he added, as quoted by The Star.The police boss said the two will not go unpunished if found culpable of the accusations leveled against them. Washe is currently being held at the Mtwapa police station where he has been booked under OB number 65/11/11/2017.The arrest comes after Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang’i issued a warning to students and teachers planning to engage in exam malpractices.
