Two people have been arrested with one homemade gun along the Kisumu-Nairobi road in an attempted robbery.
Three suspected robbers on Wednesday attempted to rob Sai petrol station, located along the road, but members of the public alerted security officers in time, said Kisumu County police commandant Nelson Njiri.
He said they arrested only two people, as the third person escaped.
“We are pursuing the last person and the two arrested will be interrogated in order to assist us in arresting the third person,” he said.
Meanwhile, residents of Migosi woke up to find the body of a man dumped at the Migosi junction.
According to witnesses, the man was dumped at the junction after he was attacked.
The deceased was taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination.
