A Nakuru court released two suspects on a bond of Sh10,000 each after they pleaded not guilty to charges of theft.
The two, Samuel Maina and Daniel Wachira were charged that on August 17, 2015 at Lanet area they stole a phone and an assortment of household items, the property of Stephen Kariuki.
Appearing before Resident Magistrate James Mungai, the court heard that the accused broke into the house of the complainant who is their neighbor in the same estate.
Mungai told the court that as he slept that night, he heard movement around the house and when she went to check he allegedly found the two.
Wachira reported the incident at the Lanet Police Station the following morning.
The two were arrested after police searched the suspects' house and allegedly found the complainant's phone and some of the lost items hidden inside their room.
