Two children were on Thursday evening seriously injured when bees attacked them in Ramba Village, Nyamira South Sub-County.
According to the father of one of the injured, Charles Ongaga the children were herding cows after they had left school on their playground when they were attacked.
“I was in the house when I had them screaming and when I rushed to the scene I found that were being attacked by bees it’s when with the help of my neighbours we rescued them,” said Ongaga.
He added that the two, aged 14 and 10 respectively could barely see since their faces were already swollen.
“We rushed them to Nyamira Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment and we believe they will be okay,” said Ongaga
According to an eyewitness, Priscila Opande, the two boys were throwing stones at the bees that suddenly attacked them.
The two are currently at Nyamira District Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
