The two, Abraham Ochieng, 3, and Joseph Omondi, 4, were lucky to survive.

Their sister, aged one and a half, died while on way to hospital, Ruth Achieng, the mother, said.

A neighbor said the incident took place at 8pm.

“I was perturbed by screams of the children and a plume of smoke from the house when I rushed to rescue the children from the inferno,” she said.

The Childrens' father, John Pesa, a casual labourer, ask well-wishers for assistance.
