The case where Enock Onsase is said to have killed the three kids failed to take off last year as the two minor witnesses were away in school. The case hearing kicked off on April 11 in Eldoret.

Detectives investigating the cold killing had also asked for more time to rope-up leads that will culminate in the successful prosecution of Onsase.

The three dead children belong to James Ratemo who was Kanu's candidate for Kapsoya Ward during the August 8 general election.

The kids, Dan Nyamweya, 5, Glen Ongaki, 3 and Clifford Nyamweya disappeared in May last year and their bodies were recovered at River Nzoia. Onsase was accused of abducting the three.

Onsase was arrested by police after his cousin reported that he had been seen with the children before their bodies were found.

When he was brought before Eldoret Senior Principal Magistrate Charles Obulutsa, the accused appeared relaxed and did not take the plea.

Investigating officers, then, asked for more time to conduct thorough investigations into the incident that left the country in shock.
