Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter was on Monday charged in court with 11 counts for allegedly presenting fake treasury bill at the Central Bank of Kenya.
Keter charged alongside Madat Saburali and Johnstone Arthur Sakwabefore pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to defraud, making a false document, forgery and uttering a false document.
Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi released the accused persons on a cash bail of sh2 million or a bond of alongside being ordered to appear before Directorate of Criminal Investigation once a week.
In order to prove his innocence, Keter wants the court to compel Safaricom to avail text messages between him and CBK governor Patrick Njoroge.
He also wants CCTV footage indicating the time he entered the bank unveiled.
Keter was arrested on Friday at CBK premises over the alleged fraud involving Sh634 million.
