Two people have died and three others injured  after an ambulance was involved in a head on collision with another vehicle.

The driver to a Machakos county ambulance and a nurse lost their lives Friday evening when the ambulance that belongs to Ngomano health center Kibauni collided with a vehicle that allegedly belongs to Former Water minister and Mwala MP Mutua Katuku.

The vehicle is said to have been driven by his son at the time of the incident.

The accident occurred at Mikuyuni which is in the Kitui highway a few kilometres from Masii town.

The area now a black spot has had many fatal accidents but no action has been taken so far such as erecting bumps or sign posts.

The injured were taken to Machakos level 5 for treatment.
