For a county that has become the epicenter of ODM rebellion in the Coast region, the party is facing a daunting task to conduct credible nominations that will avert any fallout.However, two rival factions have emerged with each one of them gunning for nothing short of victory ahead of the Saturday nominations.The first faction, Okoa Kwale, is allied to Dr Issa Chipera, the front-runner for the party ticket in the gubernatorial contest with nominated Senator Zuleikha Hassan who is contesting the Women Representative ticket joining the list.Other key members of the camp include Gambato Bongwe Ward MCA Omar Iddi Boga and Nicholas Zani who is gunning for the party ticket in the senatorial ticket.Boga is in the race for the Msambweni MP party ticket, the seat which is currently held by Suleiman Dori.The second camp which is allegedly controlled from Mombasa by Governor Hassan Joho is made up of Kwale County Assembly Speaker Sammy Ruwa who is in the race for the gubernatorial ticket.Also in the group is Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori and Senator aspirant Issa Juma Boy.The two rival camps have been engaged in fierce political rivalry, and even as they face off on Saturday, each faction is confident of a win.
