Two teenage girls in Molo who were reportedly abducted and held hostage for six days have resurfaced.

The girls said they had gone to Chandera trading centre to see a tailor when they were kidnapped by a knife-wielding man who forced them to a hideout.

Police in Molo are holding four men suspected to have abducted the girls aged 16 and 13.

The two girls, who are cousins, said the man approached them when darkness fell and lured them to a house.

At the house, they said, they were made to drink alcohol and then repeatedly defiled.

Police said investigations are ongoing and the four suspects will be charged accordingly.
