Two narcotic peddlers were on Friday arraigned before a Nakuru court for being caught in possession of narcotic drugs.

Bidden Kamau and Joseph Thairu were allegedly found being in possession of rolls of bhang on July 16  at Maili Sita area in Nakuru North district.

According to the police, the suspects were pursued after they saw the police car that was on its daily routine patrol with the police.

The police chased them until they apprehended them. The officers recovered the two rolls of bhang from their pockets, the court heard.

They were escorted to Bahati police station where they were charged with being in possession of the narcotics.

Appearing before chief magistrate Doreen Mulekyo, they pleaded guilty and asked for forgiveness.

State prosecutor Hillary Songoyo said that the prosecution was not ready with the facts and he  asked that the court gives another date.

The case will be mentioned on Monday.
