A police chopper being used by police officers for training crashed at the Wilson Airport on Monday noon, injuring two police officers.

It's not yet clear what caused the plane to crash as it took off.

An instructor and a trainee were aboard when the incident occurred, with the two receiving minor injuries.

The helicopter whose registration number 5Y- COP is said to have been in excellent condition.

The 1pm crash caused commotion in the airstrip, though they later resumed to normal.
