A bodaboda rider and his female customer were on Saturday killed in Eldoret town after they were ran over by a trailer.
Eyewitnesses say the motorcycle was hit by a vehicle from behind forcing it into the way of the trailer which ran over it.
Confirming the incident, Eldoret West Officer Commanding Police Station (OCPD) said the driver of the trailer and the vehicle that hit the motorcycle were arrested.
"The bodaboda rider and his customer died on the spot during the unfortunate accident," Mutunga told the press outside the central police station.
"We've already arrested drivers of both the trailer and the other small vehicle for possible charges," he added.
The incident caused a heavy traffic snarl up along the busy Uganda highway that passes right at the middle of Eldoret town.
Bodies of the two was taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
