The two were accused of burning the school two weeks ago destroying property worth Sh500,000.

The court heard that the situation could have been worse had it not been for the fire and rescue team in Kikuyu who quickly responded and put out the fire.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The two, who were still in their school uniform, appeared before senior principal Daniel Musyoka and denied the charges.

Since the two pleaded not guilty, they released on a bond of Sh50,000 and a surety of the same amount. They will be detained at the Kiambu Children's home if they fail to raise the bond.

The hearing date for the case was set for August 25, 2016.
