It is alleged the two exchanged blows after disagreeing on the significance of the prayer meeting where one party said it was important while the other said it was a waste of resources.

It took the effort of the residents of Mwembe to save the two from their own destruction.

“The two started as a normal argument at Jimmy's shop (Who was for the prayer rally) our usual point where we discuss politics as youth and old men of Kisii," said Dennis Makori.

"Jimmy was saying Uhuruto' s prayer meeting was important as a sign of victory for the nation while the other denied the claims saying it was a waste of national resources,” he added.

The two went on with the discussion raising their voices and things got out of hand when one of them told the other to keep quiet.

The other party who was for the prayer meeting could not yield to the demands of the other party who seemed to be losing on the argument which resulted into an exchange of blows.

The locals came to their rescue but it was too late for the one who was against the prayer meeting for he had lost two teeth.

“We are shocked how politics in this country can have an impact on the people. I am still shocked at how the two fought for such a minor discussion,” said Titus Ogema.

Mzee Hillary Nyakach an elder who was present condemned the act and called upon the youth to solve their differences peacefully.
