Two men have been arrested for peddling bhang in Mwala, Machakos County.
The duo were nabbed at a crackdown in Kamuthwa village on Saturday.
The operation was conducted by Mwala assistant county commissioner Charles Njura, area AP commander Francis Zaro and a contingent of police officers from Mwala Sub County.
Addressing the press after effecting the arrests, Njura said the suspects had been locked up at Masii Police Station.
He said the two will be arraigned in court on Monday.
Njura vowed to intensify the crackdown to completely eliminate drugs in the area.
He warned drug peddlers that their fortieth day is around the corner and soon they will be apprehended.
“We will fight drug peddlers head on, don't think you are immune to arrest. In the fullness of time, you will find yourself behind bars," Njura said.
