Two middle aged men have been nabbed by police for selling illicit liquor in Suneka area of Kisii County.
Gesonso AP commander Paul Soi said they were tipped by members of the public on the two suspects said to had been using school going children to sell alcohol to their clients in Suneka town.
Soi said it was suspected the liquor had been smuggled from Uganda.
He addressed the press in Kisii on Saturday.
“We have managed to arrest two men who have been smuggling illicit liquor from Uganda and selling to the locals, they sell the alcohol to young boys in various schools around," Soi said.
Soi said the culprits will be arraigned in court on Monday.
He said the duo were found in possession of 244 sachets of the alcohol.
Soi warned the residents against consuming illicit alcohol stating they lead to lose of sight.
He said the suspects had been locked up at Gesonso Police Station's cells.
