Simboiyon Chief, John Koskey on Monday raided a chang’aa den at Simboiyon village and arrested two women.
Koskey said that they acted on tip-off from members of public.
“ I received information that a chang'aa den is operating at Simboiyon Village and I mobilised askaris and raided the den," said Koskey.
“We arrested two female suspects and poured over 100 liters of chang'aa which were packed in four jelly cans,” he added.
The administrator said that the early morning swoop helped to nab the two notorious brewers who had evaded police trap on several occasions.
Koskey said that the fight against illicit liquor will continue till all the manufacture and sale of illicit liquor are wiped out.
“The provincial administration will not relent until all chang'aa dens are wiped out,” said Koskey.
The chief said that the consumption of illicit liquor among the youth has retarded growth in the area.
He thanked members of the public for taking a stake in fighting illicit liquor.
He however denied allegations that local APs from the Simboiyon Chief's Camps are working in cahoots with brewers to destabilise the fight against illicit liquor.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned to court on Tuesday.
