The suspects identified as Geff Rioba and Duke Rabet were nabbed by police officers from Kagira police post in Dagoretti.

Kagira police boss John Maina confirmed the arrests and said the suspects were traced by security officers from Rioma police station in Kisii County.

“The suspects stole household items from James Atandi a Kisii county based politician in Rioma area last week. We ambushed them in their house with the stolen items," said Maina.

The lost items include; a 22 inch television set, cooking gas cylinder and window carteins.

He said that suspects will be taken to Kisii County where they will be charged.

"We shall ensure that they face the consequences of their dids and serve as an example to others," he said.

He called on youths to venture into constructive activities instead of engaging in crime.
