Two Nakuru chiefs have been warned over their habit of drinking excessively leading to failure to perform official duties.
The two administrators within Mauche, Njoro sub-county were told to quit the conduct or hand over their uniforms.
Njoro deputy county commissioner Paul Githinji said he will not tolerate such officers.
“I have information of the chief from Chebitet and Mosop that they are engaged in drinking and as such, I am warning them that I will not tolerate that from a public officer who should be fighting illicit brew,” said the DCC.
The DCC was speaking at Mauche AGC church during a security meeting.
He also warned residents over a land cartel that is conning people with promises of land offers.
Area MCA Philip Rotich said Nakuru county assembly will pass legislation on liquor selling.
The meeting was also attended by Njoro OCPD Charity Dorcas and other security officers within the sub-county.
