Two NASA governors accompanied their co-principal Moses Wetangula to the burial ceremony of Yvonne Wamalwa, in Kitale.

Ford Kenya's Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma) and his Tans Nzoia counterpart Patrick Khaemba accompanied their party leader who is also the Bungoma senator to the funeral services that was also attended by hundreds of mourners.

The trio met Deputy President William Ruto who was flanked by Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka.

They had a light moment together with Ruto eulogising Yvonne.

"Yvonne Wamalwa was a dutiful, accomplished diplomat who performed her duties with excellence and commitment," he said.

He noted that Mrs Wamalwa epitomised resilience and humility, a powerful trait that won her admiration and compliments. 

"She took delight in bettering the lives of the disadvantaged and always rose to the occasion when called upon by her family, community and country. Rest In Peace," said the DP on Saturday.

He later called on the opposition to work closely with the Jubilee administration to better the lives of Kenyans.
