Bodies of the two-night guards who had gone missing for two days have been recovered in Machakos town.
The duo was found murdered and their bodies dumped along Machakos-Kangundo Road on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident, Machakos police boss Joseph Tenai said the deceased persons had been hit with blunt objects at the back of their heads.
Tenai said the bodies were discovered by members of the public found three kilometers from Machakos town.
He said the residents raised alarm after they found the bodies.
"The watchmen had been missing for two days in unclear circumstances only to be found killed on Tuesday morning at St.Valentine shopping center where their bodies were covered," Tenai said.
The police boss said the two had their eyes pricked by sharp objects too.
Tenai said the police have arrested one man suspected to be involved in the killings.
He said the suspect is held at Machakos Police Station as police continue with investigations into the incident.
Tenai said the same gang is suspected to be behind the break-in at Dessert Rose bar on Sunday night where the watchmen went missing since then.
He urged residents to provide the police with information that may help in the investigations.
The bodies were removed to Machakos Level Five Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and preservation.
