A tough talking president Uhuru Kenyatta maintained that he will ensure Jubilee Party takes over in Kisii and Nyamira Counties in few days time.

Despite performing well compared to 2013 elections, Jubilee party failed to secure Kisii and Nyamira governorship posts.

And Jubilee candidates Chris Obure (Kisii) and Walter Nyambati (Nyamira) have since failed court petitions to challenge reelection of James Ongwae and John Nyagarama respectively.

“We cannot sleep until we ensure the governorship posts in Nyamira and Kisii are delivered,” Uhuru told a host of Gusii leaders on Wednesday at Nakuru.

He added:”The performance was quite magnificent and I am sure they were rigged out. We shall ensure justice prevails.”

His tough declaration comes at a time the ODM governors are leading spirited campaigns in defense of Chief Justice David Maraga who has come under strong criticism from Jubilee leadership.

In Nyamira, Uhuru managed 52 percent to Odinga’s 46 percent, a double improvement from the 2013 figures.
