Two AP officers were killed and nine others injured after they were ambushed by suspected Pokot bandits at Kapedo, Turkana.
The officers were among a security team ferrying exams into the county.
"The car was returning KCSE examination papers from Kapedo during the Tuesday attack at Kasarani area," Inspector John Wabwire of Kapedo AP camp said.
Ibrahim Sheikh, the Turkana East sub-county director of education, was also injured in the raid.
Others injured were: Moses Nyowino, Kevin Muiru, Patrick Cheburet, Japheth Bosongo, James Mwangi, Benson Mbungua, George Omune, and Kennedy Tirop.
"They were injured on various body parts but are in stable condition," the police said.
