According to the company’s acting managing director Jimmy Kemboi, they are working on implementing a master plan that will increase their water production ability by over double.

Speaking to the press in his Eldoret office, Kemboi said the master plan includes to major projects at Kipkaren and two-river dam.

The Kipkaren water dam project is expected to be completed within the next two years.

“This project is expected to begin by the end of this year and once complete it will be able to produce about 24 million liters of water daily,” said Kemboi.

“The African Development Bank has already accepted to fund the project,” he added.

The Eldowas boss further said the two-river dam project will be able to supply 68 million liters of water to locals in Eldoret town and its environment daily.

“Currently the company supplies only 36 million liters of water against the demand of over 56 million liters daily and the completion of the two project will mean there will be surplus,” he said.

Full implementation of the master plan is estimated to cost Sh15 million and is expected to be completed by the year 2030.
