Firebrand city lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi says opposition leader Raila Odinga has no constitutional and legal options in his quest for electoral justice.
In his recent political rallies, Odinga insists that he will provide road map for third liberation, a move Ahmednassir says cannot be supported in the constitution.
“Legally, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto can completely ignore Raila. He has no constitutional or legal options left,” he says.
But with political turmoil in the country, Ahmednassir says Odinga has two has two poisonous arrows in his ‘quiver’ that he will use to antagonize the government.
“He has weaponized ethnicity and he now uses human beings as projectiles during riots,” says the city lawyer, who represented Uhuru in a Supreme Court petition.
At Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, thousands of opposition supporters thronged into streets to usher in Odinga, as police engaged them in running battles.
At least five people were killed by the police, a claim which the police service has since denied and instead blaming the deceased for allegedly engaging in robbery.
