Planned swearing in of Raila Odinga and a possible motion on Uhuru Kenyatta's legitimacy were key reasons behind humiliation of Norman Magaya in his bid for EALA appointment.

NASA had fronted Magaya, a close associate of Raila to the regional Assembly but his bid was frustrated by both Jubilee and NASA legislators.

"Norman is rude and big headed. We shall teach him a lesson and it is time to swear now himself to the Assembly," said Moses Kuria, the controversial Gatundu South MP.

Together with a section of young NASA leaders, Magaya has been pushing for swearing-in of Odinga, a move that angered Jubilee legislators.

And in parliament on Thursday, the youthful lawyer suffered huge blow, with Jubilee MPs ganging against him.

"The president is not happy with his radical stand to swear in Raila. There are also fears that he may raise legitimacy questions to Kenyan leadership in Arusha," said a Jubilee MP from Gusii who spoke in confidence.

Although Magaya was also a victim of internal rebellion in NASA coalition, he has defiantly vowed to remain unmoved.

Among those who made to regional assembly are Kennedy Musyoka and Oburu Oginga both from NASA coalition.
