The long waited largest shopping complex in Kenya officially opened its doors to the public, Tuesday.
Two Rivers Mall occupying 11 of a 102-acre property, is situated along Limuru road.
The opening of the mall adds value to shoppers from Nairobi and some parts of Kiambu.
According to the mall's board chairman Dr Chris Kirubi, the mall is expected to create thousands of job opportunities as well as improve the County’s economic growth.
“Two Rivers Mall will show the world that Kenya is capable of delivering a world class experience. It creates employment opportunities and is designed to offer world-class shopping experience and hopefully stop people from going to foreign countries for shopping,” said Kirubi in a statement.
The mall which hosts over 200 stores and has attracted both international and local investors, including new local brands such as Nove Coffee Roasters and The Designer Studio.
The second phase of the project is set to begin before mid, this year.z
