Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi has revealed two parliamentary seats that the party intends to recapture from Jubilee in the upcoming by elections.
According to Wandayi, the party will work to ensure that it wins the Lamu West parliamentary seat and the Turkana Woman representative seat.
The ODM secretary for political affairs noted that the party will reclaim all seats that it lost during the ongoing petitions, adding that some loses were based controversial circumstances.
“As a movement we are even more focused to ensure that we even get more seats from these by-elections that are forthcoming, seats that we didn’t have before.
“One of them is the seat of the Women Representative of Turkana County, we are going to take it back from Jubilee. The second seat that we shall reclaim is the seat of Lamu West," he said in Ugenya constituency on Saturday.
Seme MP Dr James Nyikal claimed that the ongoing petitions are targeting the ODM party inorder to divert the attention of NASA leader Raila Odinga from his fight for liberation.
The leaders made the remarks after Embakasi east MP Babu Owino lost his seat on Friday.
