Two people have been rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital after an LCD screen that had been raised for people to follow Bishop Korir’s funeral service fell.
The LCD screen had been hoisted several meters above the ground and people were seated around its base.
It reportedly fell when a strong wind hit it.
There was a stampede for a moment as people moved away fast to avoid being caught up.
Members of the Red Cross swiftly administered first aid to the casualties and rushed them to the hospital.
The state funeral service is underway at the Eldoret Sports club.
