The two, who survived the ordeal to tell the tale, revealed the torture moments they underwent with a noose on their neck, in choosing between life and death.

The two were on their last moments of welcoming death before they were rescued by Good Samaritans.

One of them, 29, and father of two had tied a rope around his neck and hanged himself on a roof-rail, but was bailed out on his last moments by a relative.

"I let in the decision to take my life after an angry mob roughed me up.They beat me up and detached me from my wife on claims I had turned malicious," he said.

"I was singled out during the night. It really stressed me. I hence roped myself but hesitated to proceed to suicide before my uncle, who I presume suspected my motive came to my help. It was grinding to choose death on the unconsolable day," he added.

Choosing between avoiding a recluse life and evading the trauma, the 29 year old attempted suicide which to him was a difficult resolution.

The second victim, 34, and father of two daughters and a son was also involved in such a death sentence act on 'neglect' claims, he said during the interview.

"I have a big family and over time I have pleaded my father to allocate me my heritage parcel of land. The old man has been playing deaf. I consumed much alcohol on the day and was unaware of my choices. I could be dead, my wife told me upon gaining my consciousness that she alarmed for my rescue, she said I had already hung myself up the roofing of our kitchen," he told this reporter.

The two suicidal attempt cases were reported to Nyaisa Community policing, Bogichora ward, and the two involved are still under rehabilitation.
