Two people suspected to be members of the Islamic State terror group were on Monday arraigned before a Nairobi law court.
The accused, Abdirahman Idris Hassan alias Zaky Akhi and Salah Mohamed Khalif alias Prince Salahudiin faced five terror-related charges.
They were charged with sourcing for funds meant to commission terrorist acts and planning meetings in support of ISIS.
Additionally, they were also charged with recruiting Kenyan youths to join terror groups and directing the commission of terrorist acts in the country.
They, however, denied the charges before Milimani Chief Magistrate Daniel Ogembo who remanded them pending their bail application set for Tuesday next week.
The prosecution stated that the bail application will be opposed because the suspects are a flight risk.
