According to sources, one of their accomplices is currently admitted at the Nakuru level 5 Hospital alongside one woman who is allegedly said to have been stabbed inside the house at 12.30am.
Chairman of Nyumba kumi initiative in the area Sospeter Omari said the suspect who survived was accosted by the two deceased persons who ordered him to accompany them on a robbery mission.
“After drilling a hole in one of the local houses, the survivor gained access to the house through the hole where he opened the main door waking a woman and her daughter,” said Omari.
He added that the two deceased descended on the woman with a knife after she raised alarm before fleeing.
The survivor was however cornered by irate members of the public whereby he revealed names of those who had fled and the two were later flushed out of their homes and tied with ropes before being set ablaze.
Addressing media, area Mca Jane Simita called on the local youth to engage in income generating activities instead of indulging in acts that put their lives in danger.
“It was unfortunate that the two were murdered while their accomplice sustained serious injuries over a vice that could easily be prevented given the agricultural potential of the area,” said the MCA.
She further called on members of the public to be volunteering information to the police about people with suspicious behavior instead of waiting until something bad happens to raise complains.
Bodies of the deceased were moved to Nakuru county government mortuary as investigations commence.
