Two suspects who were arrested for transporting stolen cattle in Kirobon location on Monday are being held at Menengai West police station.

The duo will be arraigned in court on Tuesday.

The suspects William Maiyua and George Kamau, could not explain themselves after suspecting residents questioned them.

Kirobon location chief Charles Koech said the suspects who are said to be Mang’u residents, had stolen the cows from Rotet Kirobon, Rongai sub-county.

“The animals belong to one of the residents of Kiamunyi- Mary Njeri. The two are suspected to be members of a group of criminals who steal cattle in Ngata, Kamungei Mercy Njeri and Kiamunyi areas,” the chief said.

He said cattle rustling cases in the area are on the rise.
