The two men who were arrested over the weekend with raw ivory worth Sh5.4 million in Maralal, Samburu County are expected to face charges in court today, Monday.
According to police reports, the suspects were ferrying the 27 kilograms of the ivory on a motorbike when police and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officials intercepted them at Kisima Shopping Centre.
Police said the men, 75 and 25 years old, were delivering the ivory to a buyer when they were caught.
