A Tanzanian couple has been arrested alongside a Kenyan woman for being in possession of 3,890 sachets of cocaine valued at shillings 20 million.
Confirming the Sunday incident, Head of Special Crime Prevention Unit Noah Katumo, said police also recovered two kilos of heroin worth shillings 6 million.
Katumo said the couple was intercepted by officers from the unit at Mlolongo, as they were driving from Tanzania to Nairobi.
The two are said to have been heading to their agent's house in Muthaiga North estate before the arrest.
The suspected agent, who has been identified as Elizabeth Njoki, led the officers to another house in Umoja estate, where they found the cocaine.
The trio were to be arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts on Monday.
The arrest comes two months after two women were nabbed smuggling five kilograms of heroin from Mombasa to Kampala.
